The Ivins Inspired Volunteer Program & Database: Your Path to Community Engagement

The Volunteer Program & Database is the heart of Ivins Inspired—connecting residents with meaningful, community-building opportunities throughout the year. Joining this centralized database provides two essential benefits: keeping you informed and matching your talents with the needs of Ivins. It serves as your streamlined gateway to service, collaboration, and deeper connection.

1. Stay Informed About Opportunities
When you complete the volunteer registration form, you are automatically added to the Ivins Inspired communications loop. This means you’ll receive timely updates on upcoming events, programs, and service projects across the city.
• Ivins Inspired acts as a communications hub, ensuring residents stay aware of new initiatives and ways to get involved.
• You’ll be notified about volunteer needs from partners throughout the community—from assisting the Ivins City Parks & Recreation team at events like the Foam Blast to supporting the Ivins Beautification Crew (ALLIs).

2. Matching Your Talents to Community Needs
The volunteer database was created to centralize opportunities and connect willing residents with organizations that need support. When you sign up, you can specify your availability, interests, and skills so we can match you intentionally with meaningful service roles.
• Your information helps us—and our partners—reach out when your talents align with specific projects.
• Organizations such as the Ivins City Arts Commission, Kayenta Arts Foundation, and the Desert Preservation Initiative use the database to find the help they need.
• Whether you’re interested in serving with the CERT Team, helping with environmental stewardship, or sharing skills like photography, social media, or grant writing, the database ensures your contributions make a real impact.

This intentional matching process ensures that every act of service strengthens Ivins and supports the spirit of collaboration at the core of Ivins Inspired’s mission.

Special Projects Throughout the Year
Beyond ongoing roles, Ivins Inspired also organizes special hands-on projects that bring residents together to enhance our shared community spaces. These projects create visible, meaningful improvements and embody the belief that small efforts from many can produce big results.

Our first project of 2026 will gather volunteers to paint and refresh fire hydrants throughout the city—an effort that keeps Ivins looking cared for and well-maintained. All residents registered in the volunteer database will receive full details and signup information as the project approaches.

By joining the volunteer database, you ensure you’re among the first to hear about these unique, high-impact opportunities to serve and connect. Click on the link below to join today:

Collaborative Community Project

The Ivins Crosswalk Art Project will transform crosswalks near Vista School into vibrant public art, directly enhancing pedestrian safety and fostering intergenerational connections. This collaborative project, involving Ivins Inspired, the Ivins City Arts Commission, the Santa Clara-Ivins Police Department, Vista School, and residents of all ages, particularly those 50+, will engage the community in designing and implementing artistic crosswalks. These crossings are essential for the safety of students and older adults, many of whom rely on them daily. Ivins faces pedestrian safety challenges, especially with increased traffic, including e-bikes. With a significant portion of Ivins' population aged 50+ (54%), and projected to double by 2050, prioritizing pedestrian safety is crucial for an age-friendly community. This project creates visually engaging crosswalks, enhancing safety for all, especially older adults with mobility challenges, supporting the Ivins General Plan's goal of safe streets. High rates of walking and biking in Ivins underscore the need for better pedestrian infrastructure. By increasing driver awareness, this project creates safer, more walkable streets for everyone, including Vista School students, celebrating Ivins' artistic spirit and contributing to its "Arts Corridor." This project fosters intergenerational collaboration, bringing students and older residents together. This aligns with AARP's mission for livable communities and Ivins Inspired's mission to unite residents for a vibrant community.
